Re: [問題] English Education VS TESOL
English Education is for people who want to teach Americans English like language arts and literature.
The courses in that program ( I mean mostly)are preparing teachers to teach literature and poetry, which is quite different from TESOL where the focus is mainly on second language learning and research.
TESOL is suitable for people who want to teach ESL/EFL both in and outside of the US, probably in Asia for many Asians.
But English Ed. or Language Ed. is for people who are thinking about teaching langauge arts in high schools in the US, and the students would be Americans of course.
If you are really interested in these programs I mentioned above, you should do your research first and see what courses they offer in each program at different schools.
The distinction is clear between English Ed. and TESOL. Why not take a look at the brochure that you like.
