To all International Students and Scholars,
ISSS has just been informed that effective immediately, the Department of
State has suspended issuing new entry visas for all F, J and M visa
classifications. This is due to difficulties in communication between SEVIS
and the Department of State’s Consular database. Please note that this does
not affect any currently valid entry visas, or any current visa status you
hold. However if you are planning to travel outside the US and require a
renewed entry visa to return, you may wish to alter you travel plans until
this issue is resolved. The Department of State is working to resolve this
matter as quickly as possible, however no timeframe has been established at
this time.
ISSS will provide any updates as we receive them.
