[情報] 2 PhD positions open in Oulu
Two (2) Doctoral Student positions in Information Systems,
for a period of four years
The Department of Information Processing Science, Finland, has openings for
doctoral student positions in Information Systems. The research performed
by the doctoral students should fit or complement the following
areas/research groups:
(1) INTERACT; user centered design and human interaction with technology,
in the focus area of mobile services and intelligent environments
( http://www.infotech.oulu.fi/Research/Groups/INTERACT.html ),
(2) OASIS; how software and information systems can best serve people and
organizations to perform knowledge work and other activities
( http://www.oasis.oulu.fi/ ),
(3) ISSRC; Information systems security
( http://issrc.oulu.fi/research-and-publications/ ), or SEM; The service
engineering and management (SEM) group focuses on Innovation, Design and
Development of ICT enabled services for Consumers and Enterprises.
※Conditions and requirements
The doctoral student positions are typically available for 4 years. There
is a teaching obligation.
Starting salary will be based on the job specific level 2 according to the
university salary system for teaching and research staff of Finnish
universities (about 2100 ¤ per month), and salary increases as the PhD
work progress. The salary is paid for 12 months in a year. Additionally,
the doctoral students are entitled to health care benefits.
The successful candidate should have a Master's degree. Master students
near completion can also apply.

1) a brief curriculum vitae in English,
2) motivation letter,
3) reference letters,
4) a brief research plan.

case, also a signed application must be submitted via regular mail.
