[情報] 關於從英國到愛爾蘭是否算出境

之前有人問這個問題，於是我就寫信到英國出入境管理局問內容如下： Hi, I entered the UK a month ago as a visitor (my UK student visa was not valid then, but UK provided visa-free accress for Taiwanese, so I came as a tourist instead of a student). I plan to go to the Republic of Ireland in September and re-enter UK with my student visa (it becomes valid from 21st Aug). Does this way work? Or the immigration officer will not stamp on my student visa because Ireland and the UK are common travel area? 結果回信內容是這樣： Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your enquiry. It would be advisable to have your passport, with your student visa, stamped by an Immigration Officer at the port of entry if possible. If not please retain proof of your travel details. 所以看起來，去愛爾蘭還是算出境，只是當然你入境的時候能讓入境管理員在學生簽上蓋章是最好的，如果沒有也沒關係，只要有保留你去愛爾蘭旅行的證據就好，因為這樣才能證明你有離開英國，也就是出境。聽從英國去過愛爾蘭的學長姐說，從愛爾蘭回英國時空姐可能會帶旅客直接走不用過海關的路入境，以免去檢查護照的麻煩，我想如果真的到時候是這樣，直接跟空姐說要選擇過海關檢查護照，他們應該也不會拒絕，之後就再跟海關解釋一下，麻煩他在學生簽證上蓋章，以用學生身分入境，相信他們也能理解。當然，到時候再入境英國時，所有文件都必須準備好讓海關檢查(visa letter等等)。以上，提供給也跟我一樣想用去愛爾蘭當出境這招的人。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 78.105.249.28
