Postdoctoral position available in Vascular Medicine/Physiology & Functional
Genomics
Postdoctoral Scholar position available immediately for highly motivated
candidates to join the Department of Medicine at University of Florida School
of Medicine. The focus of the lab is to understand the molecular mechanisms
by which vascular stiffness is increased in kidney disease and how stiffness
affects cell behavior and function.
Qualifications:
‧ Ph.D. degree in biology or biochemistry
‧ Knowledge and experience with routine molecular biology tools is requi

‧ At least one first author publication in a peer-reviewed publication i

‧ Expertise in surgical models of kidney/vascular disease is highly desi
ra
‧ Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
‧ Prior training or degree received from US/UK/Canadian academic institu

is desirable but not required.
‧ Must have motivation and commitment to drive scientific projects.
The candidate must be able to work independently to design and perform
experiments, analyze data and write manuscripts
