※ [本文轉錄自 global_univ 看板] 作者: warnname (老頭) 看板: global_univ 標題: [情報] 巴塞隆納博士後機會 Post Doctoral positions in Genomics 時間: Tue Jun 9 18:04:08 2009 Post Doctoral positions in Genomics (Barcelona) The Bioinformatics and Genomics Department of the CRG (www.crg.es) is seeking two highly motivated post-doc to be part of Quantomics, an EU sponsored consortium aimed at surveying farm animal genomic diversity (Cattle, Pig, Chicken). The main task of the candidates will be to use available tools in order to design an integrated comparative genomics approach suitable for analyzing the variability in the considered species (cow, chicken, pig). The candidates should have a very strong background in comparative genomics, and should be familiar with the most common tools for multiple genome comparison (lagan, pecan, TBA, Mauve…). They should also be very skilled with scripting languages such as Perl and R and have an operational knowledge of the UNIX environment. Post-Docs will be incorporated in the groups of Roderic Guigo (BGG) and Cedric Notredame (CB). Funding is available for 2 years and may start anytime. Application deadline: 30/06. Post-doctoral salaries start at 25-30 K€ but can be adapted according to experience.
