康康老師解說：主被動語態
英文語態（voice），可以分成主動語態（active voice）與被動語態（passive voice）
兩種。
所謂被動語態，就是用動詞來表示主詞「被」如何。
通常以be動詞加過去分詞（be + Ven）的方式呈現。
過去分詞(Ven)能表示『被動』的語義。
主動語態：『動作執行者 + 動作 + 動作接受者』
The storm damaged the crops.
被動語態：『動作接受者 + be + Ven + (by動作執行者)』
The crops were damaged by the storm.
The cat was taken care of by my sister.
This song has been sung by a lot of singers.
The gate was opened at seven.
修辭：英文句子中，使用主動語態會比被動語態簡潔。所以儘量用主動語態。
使用被動語態的時機必須「師出有名」：當動作執行者agent：不清楚、不重要、不想說。
o 不清楚：He was murdered (by someone).
o 不清楚：My wallet was stolen (by someone).
o 不重要：The newspapers are delivered around 5 a .m.
o 不重要：Bad words must not be used in the classroom.
o 不想說：She was dumped (by her boyfriend).
o 不想說：I was scolded (by my boss).
注意：英文的主被動語態，有時與中文主被動邏輯不盡相同。唯有借由大量閱讀，累積語
感。
中文思維：被動 ←→ 英文思維：主動
Cell phones are selling very well.
This tough steak doesn't cut easily.
Red wine stains don't wash out easily.
Your paper reads like a novel.
The banquet celebrates Mr. Wang's promotion.
