[請益] 3種字典:activator、Roget's、類語的不同?
手邊一台日英電子字典 型號 casio xd-v8800
這台字典是網路二手買的，據賣家跟我說，這是給很需要充實英文能力的學生用的
上網查也是這樣說，
發現這個字典有3個查法，感覺類似，但不知道實際用法，懇請版上大大指點~ ^_^
1 英語類語詞典
2 longman activator
3 longman Roget's Thesaurus
如果輸入 nose一字
1 類語詞典出現：meddle, mess around, mess in , poke one's nose into,snoop
snuff, snount 等等
2 longman activator出現：end/point
forward 2 (不知道這個2 是什麼意思?)
3 longman Roget's Thesaurus出現： face, prow, angularity, protuberance, person ,
odor, detective, detect
又例如，輸入 cup 一字
1 類語詞典出現：glass, drink, cupful, spoonful, basin, trophy等等
2 longman activator出現：win 10
3 longman Roget's Thesaurus出現：cup, support, cavity, be concave
alcoholic drink, metrology, monument, fate
我本來以為 日文的類語 = Roget's Thesaurus = 同義語
看起來好像也不盡然…><
不知道版上大大可以指點我，這幾個分類的用法嗎？
