問題：
We ___ at a hotel in Miami when the hurricane hit southern Florida last month.
As soon as the hurricane moved out of the area, we left and went back home.
a.had stayed b.were staying
答案是b，
請問一下
一、had stayed哪裡不對呢？
我的想法：
當颶風來時，我們就已經在旅館了(had stayed)
二、were staying的意思是
當颶風來時，我們正在旅館了(were staying)嗎？？
