[文法] 省略號遇到其他標點需要空一格嗎？
大家好，請問一下

這個網頁講解英文的「省略號」，第一段是這樣：
An ellipsis [ … ] is a handy device used to omit some words when you’re
quoting material. The ellipsis consists of three evenly spaced dots (periods)
with spaces between the ellipsis and surrounding letters or other marks.
說省略號和其他字母及標點的前後間都應有一個空格(space)，但我看它後面的例子：
The ceremony honoured twelve brilliant athletes … visiting Canada.
“I’m wondering …” Juan said, bemused.
第一句前後都有空格。但第二句的省略號和後引號之前卻沒有空格？
不曉得是我哪裡沒弄懂，請教一下，謝謝。
