[分享] be shocked / in shcok
分享一位母語人士對這兩個字詞的用法的看法
((I/they/she/she/you) (were/are/was/am) shocked........) we used for everyone
and is simple, just use this one
To be in shock is a serious medical condition.... so we seldom use "i" with
"in shock"
And to use in shock when meaning surprised, the sentence is more complex and
harder to set up.
His eyes opened wide in shock when he heard his family has passed away
And although shock means surprised..... it is for negative things
