Is that the wind making all that noise? 想請教，making all that noise是當分詞修飾wind，還是動名詞（wind省略's）呢？ 換句話說，以肯定句來看，是下列哪個呢？ a. That is the wind that is making all that noise. b. 「是不是風在發出那麼大的噪音？」 看起來就是動名詞的翻譯。如果是分詞的翻譯，應該是 「發出那麼大噪音的，是風嗎？」 不過也有一種可能：翻譯者認為那是分詞，但覺得「發出那麼大噪音的，是風嗎？」 不太流暢，因此調動了一下字句，改為「是不是風在發出那麼大的噪音？」 （認為這樣才是通順的中文）。 ※ 編輯: scju (111.251.46.114), 02/19/2018 13:35:47
