[請益] 辭典中的"whose brother he was"
各位好，請教一下
在牛津高階八雙解看到這樣的例句：
Isobel, whose brother he was, had heard the joke before.
伊澤貝爾，就是他的弟弟，以前曾經聽說過這個笑話。

"whose brother he was"翻譯成「就是他的弟弟」是不是有問題啊？
我想這部份應該是這樣來的：
he was Isobel's brother
→he was whose brother
→whose brother he was
但問題是Isobel是女性的名字

因此，應該是「他是她的弟弟」(he was her brother)才對吧？
如果照原來的翻譯，應該改成
「伊澤貝爾，他是她的弟弟/就是他的姊姊，以前曾經聽說過這個笑話。」
