[資訊] 「按門鈴」不是" ring a bell"!
「按門鈴」的英文一般說 press the doorbell 或 ring the doorbell。
press 比較直譯，「按」的動作。
ring 則是常見的慣用法，因為按下去會讓門鈴「響」。
而 ring a bell 這個片語，通常是比喻用法，意思是「聽起來熟悉」、「好像有印象」
：
Her name rings a bell, but I can’t remember where I met her.
（她的名字聽起來很熟，但我想不起來在哪裡見過。）
所以如果是字面上的「按門鈴」，要說 ring the doorbell 或 press the doorbell，不
能直接用 ring a bell。
