[求譯] 煩請幫忙看這句翻得對不對
在看書的時候有一句不確定意思，煩請前輩不吝指教。
Hostility toward the children—exaggerated efforts to protect the children
cover deep-seated antagonism
對孩子的敵意——過於誇張的努力去保護孩子，而那樣的努力之下隱藏著根深蒂固的敵意
另外如果可以的話，想請問這邊的cover是動詞嗎？
如果是的話，請問這個動詞是對應efforts這個名詞嗎？
對這一整句我的理解是
efforts to protect the children
efforts cover deep-seated antagonism
但不確定對不對。
英文程度不好，煩請前輩們指教，感恩！
