Do not do evil things though they may be insignificant. Do not give up virtuous things though they may be minor matters In Chinese, ancient sages say: "Do not do evil things though they may be insignificant. Do not give up virtuous things though they may be minor matters." This proverb suggests that anything we ought to do anything what we should do and not to do anything what we shouldn't do. This is a topic that is taught by our teachers and parents, and most of us identify with this proverb that is full of wisdom. Why I agree with it is that anything we do has its own effects on others in many aspects that is unique and can't be replaced. Whatever we do in certain occasions, they have their own meanings in the world which are unique, because the times, the locations, and the people who are involved in them are the same as none. When one thing is done, it must have various effects which are subtle or grave, thus, their consequent influences on other things and other people may be hard to be estimated. That is to say, don't perceive things with their superficial results only, but with a full perspective on surrounding situations. For example, when one helpes a small restaurant to save a plastic bag by stuffing the food into his own shopping bag, the amount of all resources he save may be little; however, someone who catch sight of his deed many be influenced by him a little. If he really keep it a practice, those whom are moved by him accumulates gradually, and the climate of taking shopping bags when going outdoor may be much more pervasive. In addition, the principles our teachers say to us and the morals our parents enlighten us may commonplace words, which make children and teenagers feel dull. However, it is just because of their gradual enlightment that many students went astray turn over a new. Reversely, do not give up virtuous things though they may be minor matters, and the reason is given above. For example, to throw a little trash, such as a piece of paper, on streets when it is inconvenient to put it into a trashcan, may be of no gravity to the townscape. However, if all citizens take it for granted, the townscape is rapidly deteriorated. The topic of this article is good to be perceived in cultral aspects. In this way, the intention of it is much more manifest. The value of whatever we do is always floating and not fixed, through everyone's mind is changeable. The deeds of some people are of little value for someone, but they be very more significant for some others, with the change of their mind and different occasions. In conclusion, we should have a breadth of mind not to give up virtuous things through they may be insignificant. If more people can do something according it, the effect may accumulate into a much huger one and does good to the society. ----- Hi, this is a practice for writing a compolition.
