The feelings I have with the deeds of Chao Chien-Ming and Lee Tai-An
Recently, there are two news in Taiwan which appear very frequently
in newspapers and TV news almost everyday. One is the president's son-in-law,
Chao Chien-Ming's alleged involvement in a stock trading scandal, the illicit
purchase of the stocks of Tai-Kai company; the other is the atrocious deeds of
the suspected commitor, Lee Tai-An, who is alleged to be the murderer of Chen
Shih-Hung and Lee Shuang-Chuan and the commitor of the turnover of the train in
Taidong. We can almost hear about the news reports related the two news in all
forms of mass midia ranging from prints, radio, television, magazines, BBS
sites, and web pages, which make us a little bothered and deprive of the time
for those correspondents to make more news reports for other things. People in
Taiwan all have various feelings for both of the two, and I am no exception.
For earning p-dolars in this board, I quickly post my feelings out in this
board.
I think that our president's son-in-law, Chao Chien-Ming, is not wise
and sagacious enough. He is too greedy, so he could not be contented with the
great deal of belongings he is in possession of. He, who got very good grades
in extrance exam and was enrolled as a student in the department of medicine in
NTU and finally becomes a doctor in charge, has already been a person of very
high social status in Taiwan. He earns a lot of money in a year and is wealthy
enough to satisfy the lust of his family members. What's more, he is the
son-in-law of the supreme person, President in Taiwan now; he is envied by the
multitude. However, he still doesn't treasure his prosperous future and even
tries to obtain a great sum of money by illicit methods. This kind of
avaricious person is doomed to be led astray and have a miserable life finally.
If Lee Tai-An really committed these suspected crimes, we can say that
he is a very clever and crafty person who can commit so many criminal deeds but
is still at large. In terms of probability, most people in Taiwan feel that he
is guilty of the railway sabotage case, the death of his past wife Chen Shih-
Hing, the conspiration of his relatives to perjure witnesses, cheating the
compensation of insurance money, and so on. It is almost impossible that he is
innocent of these sinful deeds or all these crimes are plotted by some others
by other reason, but he was just released from Pingdong court several days ago
because of not having collected enough direct evidences for the conviction of
his crimes. As a proverb goes, "Whenever humans are doing things, Gods are
watching them". People believe that he will be punished finally. But if he is
finally absolved of his susepcted crimes, it is really a pity.
Besides, I feel that the reporters of TV and newspapers companies in
Taiwan are not very specialized in journalism enough. Their vocation is to find
more precious news in society and make good news reports for us, which
enlighten us on the eyesight for the society and the whole world. However, they
are entirely not; they always cope with the time or the printed pages for news
by making many trivial discussions on the same issues or cases and exaggerating
the seriousness of them, but indolent in finding another news for discussion.
These kind of discussions or surmises for news are quite easy for other people
to make, then is it possible to be those reporters turn to make them ? They are
really perfunctory in fulfilling their tasks and fall short of people's
expectations in Taiwan.
