Re: [Ask ] is it just me not getting used to Ta …
I was born in Taiwan , and I grow up here.
I had been to Australia for six months last year.
It's really really different from Australia.
I was not used to AU when I was there ,
so maybe I can understand a little bit what you feed ?
The tempo is faster in Taiwan than in Australia.
Australia is huge, and the population is less.
Taiwan is small ,and the population is many.
It is dry in Au but wet in Taiwan.
We don't drink too much or never drink,
but people in Au always drink.@@
OZs (I heard it means Australians) go to pub on holidays,
having many celebrations...etc
but Taiwanese people go to night market,
the celebrations are different from AU.
I like the life style in Au,
but I still like my country more just because of food.
Maybe you can try to make friends in Taiwan,
with Taiwanese, people from OZ , or the others.
Maybe you can do something you are used to do in AU.
Try to find some recipes in AU (EX Fish and chips),
and cook it for yourself .
Try to buy some drink from AU.
Or look for some restaurants which have AU foods.
(there is a board : food , you can watch.)
Go to the beach and enjoy the sunshine.
Do something to make you feel good.
And in the meanwhile , try to go to nightmarket in Taiwan and so on.
Do something which you are interested in.
When I was in AU, I tried to drink with foriengers,
eating the food there,(but I still make a lot of taiwan foods.)
listening to the music there,
talking to OZ,watching the TV show etc..
It's really difficult ,
but maybe you can keep trying ^^
and I don't know how to say 加油 in English.
加油 ^^

: i moved back to Taiwan now, been here already for one and a half years,
: but honestly, i'm not really used to it still.
: Fair enough everything's convenient, the food's good too, but the whole tempo

: I go out, K, clubs, do things that i do in Australia, but im not as happy as

: is it just me?? why is it taking so long to adjust.?
