※ 引述《iamjessica (你給的快樂)》之銘言: : Hey, this is Jessica! : My teacher requested us to prepare a short talk for 1~2 mins. : It's not that hard for me to say somehting for a while but the problem : is we have to choose the topic that makes people "feel strongly"... : I was thinking to share with them "what I have done during the weekend" : or "studying in Australia"... : Do you guys think that topics interest you? : I know joke may be helpful but I am not good at it and I do not have : confidence in doing it. : Could you help me with any ideas? : Thank you! I would give a short speech with lots of jokes in it, because I enjoy making people laugh. However, if you are not used to telling jokes or fear that you lack the confidence, you can always go with something more natural and comfortable. For example, if you like movies, then tell them about a movie that you enjoyed much and why would you recommend it. If you like music, then choose one of your favorite artists/performers and talk about the impact that they have on you. The most important thing is that you must sincerely enjoy your presentation from the preparation until the end. You do not have to feel pressured or worried that you might need to impress the audience, because it is impossible to impress everyone no matter how hard you deliberately try. However, if you can at least find your topic meaningful and unique to yourself, then surely the audience will appreciate you for sharing with them. Lastly, I would not worry about the part where the teacher wants you to talk about topics that people feel strongly about. I assume that it is just a way to prevent the students from talking about boringly trivial things such as "I brushed my teeth, combed my hair, put on my clothes, and did a dozen other ordinary things and here I am in the classroom. The End." I am not saying that everyday's routine can not be described in interesting ways, but listing them without any reason or amusing detail is just a waste of everyone's time. Hope this helped. Now good luck and have fun! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 76.21.90.126
