Even thought you made many mistakes in your statement(so did I), I still could understand your ideas.What a amazing thing , isn't it? In my viewpoint, the most persuasive reason to learn English is knowing the world. If you browse some websites, like CNN or BBC, you'll realize that we taiwanese don't care about what's happening in the world. We lack global views, care less about our planet, earth. Actully , our mass media should introduce the world to us at first so that we could absorb the latest information from all over the world. Unfortunately, most of those mass media in TW didn't do that, all that do is just show how brutal, ugly,and terrible our society is but give no comments or advices . Therefore,we're getting more and more familiar with useless local events over time without consciousness. I don't want to be those who don't know much about the world,so I started to laern English. I was shocked when I first time read an article from CNN. It really opened a brandnew window to see the world. Maybe you could say "I don't care about what's going on in the world at all. I just want to live my own life". That's fine.
