very interesting. I once read a book called: "The Irony of Democracy." This book has some insights and perspectives about the real problems in a democratic bureaucracy. Even in US, democracy leads to some problems. It is not perfect or something to feel superior or brag about all the time. I think in Taiwan it is even worse. Even though the regime is democracy, they still did not reach the true essense of democracy. Democracy does not only require a change of the system, but also requires a change of heart. Honestly speaking, most of the policitians do no know how to respect others when debating issues on the public. They do not present a basic respect for a human being. To me, most of them act like dog biting dogs... :S ※ 引述《ID8668 (No Name)》之銘言: : Art of Persuasion : Can Obama Win Over The World? : During the presidential campaign, Barack Obama spoke eloquently : about democracy at home and abroad, and before taking office : asserted that the promotion of democracy "needs to be at a : central part of our foreign policy." : But he has recoiled from the kind of missionary rhetoric that : President Bush so often deployed in his own campaign to spread : democracy worldwide. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 75.63.190.191 ※ 編輯: celestial09 來自: 75.63.190.191 (08/09 04:42)
