I feel that what's most important is that you are able to speak clearly and in a manner in which people understand what you are trying to get at. I am disgusted by people who try to speak with an American or a British accent, when it doesn't come naturally. They sound absolutely terrible and they think they sound like a caucasian. What's the point of mimicking an accent? So that you'll be seen as equal? Oh puh-leeeese. Just get your grammer and your pronunciation right, and you'll be fine. Even if your pronunciation is not accurate, it's still not as bad as mimicking an accent. I think people who mimic an American or British accent ridicule themselves in the process. What is the natural english accent in the first place? It's the same as asking which form of English is the most accurate one? British English? American English? Australian English? Am I crapping? -- Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full. One for my master, one for my dame, And one for the little boy who lives down the lane. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 121.7.177.135
