A busy day for one to marry a woman;
a busy life for one to take a concubine.
It is a Taiwanese proverb.
I am not saying that only men would have affairs.
In the ancient time, the proverbs used to have male terms.
In this case,
ancient people implied that one would pay a lot to deal with "one" affairs
in the life.
People are unaware of how costly it is for their life and families
to have a concubine.
In the past or even traditional families nowadays,
it used to take husbands only one day (i.e the wedding day) to take a wife.
However, once a husband has an affair, he gets to be busy for dealing with
distrust, suspicion, potential economical issues, reputation,
child psychological sequelae, etc., in his whole life.

The question is not what you look at
but what you see...
