[問題]想請問CR中常見的"Bold Sentence"問題

想請問各位大大，小弟我在做CR題目的時候，最頭痛的就是碰到段落中套句粗體字的題目，然後問這兩句扮演的角色是什麼。因為這類的題目幾乎每答必錯，請問有什麼方法可循嗎? 可以的話請以以下這段話解釋一下，感恩! 32. Paleontologist: About 2.8 million years ago, many species that lived near the ocean floor suffered substantial population declines. These declines coincided with the onset of an ice age. The notion that cold killed those bottom-dwelling creatures outright is misguided, however; temperatures near the ocean floor would have changed very little. Nevertheless, the cold probably did cause the population declines, though indirectly. Many bottom-dwellers depended for food on plankton, small organisms that lived close to the surface and sank to the bottom when they died.
