7分句意，3分文法修辭 GMAT所考的句子更正（sentence correction）部分，每題所附的五個答案中，至少有一個以上牽涉到與原句的句意不合，即改變原句的意思，這個答案當然立即摒棄不選。考生若能領悟原句真正句意，把更換意思的答案打入冷宮，馬上立竿見影，立即掌握了得分之鑰，立即享受得分之樂。最後，一定會發現考好GMAT這部分，並非難事，原有捷徑可循，那就是「七分句意三分文法修辭」。下面範例，取材於The Official Guide for GMAT Review（ 13th edition）（694頁120題） 120.
