[分享] 機考缺考的兩三事
前情提要：
我報考了 9/30, 10/01 在泰國曼谷的考試，但 9/30 成績已達自己設定的標準，
所以 10/01 選擇缺考，把時間拿去 shopping。
不會回國後，看到有些戰友對於缺考存在著許多不安與疑慮，所以我就用e-mail跟
ET$詢問了許多戰友們的問題，希望能夠得到官方解答，以解大家存在已久的困惑。
經過與效率"驚人"的ET$書信往返後，大致上已解答許多戰友的問題，所以post上來
與大家分享一下。
PS. 以下文章會落落長，只希望能給未來機考戰友一個明確的回答，
減少本版的月經文，不喜者就請按 End 跳過囉~ XD
版友疑惑：
版上許多戰友對機考時缺考，主要是有以下幾點疑惑：
1. 自己是否還會收到成績單?
2. 是否會留下「缺考一次」的紀錄，導致未來加發成績單時，
自己想申請的學校會因此得知自己缺考，而留下不好的印象?
3. 前一次考試的成績，是否會因為缺考而被取消?
官網說明：
針對版友的疑惑，其實ET$官網上就有類似的說明，如下：
...... institutions will not receive any information about your absence
or about any previous scores you may have on file.
這邊所指的 institutions 是指自己想申請核發成績單的學校，
有些網友會解讀成ET$ (institution 如果是指ET$，是不會加s的)。
e-mail回覆：
有鑒於許多版友好像還是對官網說明不太清楚(我自己也是@@)，所以我就寫了幾封信，
向ET$詢問以上所提的幾個問題，而ET$的回覆如下(自己的書信英文很破，請別介意)：
Question 1:
Dear Sir,
I have ordered a test held on 10/01/2008 in Bangkok, Thailand.
However, for some personal reason, I was absent from this test.
So, I want to make an inquirie that whether my absence will be recorded
in my scoring report or not.
Besides, whether the scoring report will also be sent to the institutes
and me. Thanks for your help!
The following is my registration information ... ... (之後略)

(1) 缺考後是否會在成績單留下紀錄?
(2) 學校跟我自己是否還是會收到我缺考的成績單?
Reply 1:
Dear xxx,
Regarding your inquiry:
Institutions will not receive any information about your absence from
a GRE® testing session. Score reports will be released only upon your
request.
中文翻譯：
學校不會收到任何有關自己缺考的消息(所以就是不會留下紀錄的意思)。
成績單必須自己申請後才會寄發(所以也就不會寄給學校跟自己了)。
Question 2:
Dear Sir,
Recently, I have registered two tests respectively in 30 Sep. and 1 Oct.
in Bangkok, Thailand. But, I can't attend the second test for some personal
reseason. However, I have read the policy for absentation is that: "If you
are absent from a test administration, you will not forfeit your test fee.
Institutions will not receive any information about your absent or about
many previous score you may have on file."
I'm eager to know whether the 1st score will be cancelled or not?

如果報考兩次，第二次如果缺考，是否第一次的成績會被取消?
Reply 2:
Dear xxx,
Regarding your inquiry:
You may take the GRE® General Test (computer-based and/or paper-based) only
once per calendar month and no more than five times within any 12-month
period. This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken
previously. If you take the General Test more often than allowed, your new
scores will not be reported, and your test fee will be forfeited.
You may take the Subject Tests as often as they are offered.
Please be advised that your September 30, 2008 test will be graded and scores
sent out as normal.
中文翻譯：
(1) 如果報考次數超過規定的次數(一個月限一次，一年至多五次)，
那麼成績將不予承認，而且報名費也不會退還。
(2) sGRE 只能按照每年所舉辦的次數去報考，所以沒有像上述的問題。
(3) 9/30的成績，不會因為10/01缺考而被取消 (除非它違反報考次數的規定)
