這個很妙，我查了一些資料才發現之前遇到這個題目，不管是方老師講解或自己去查字典，關於"hinge"的解釋都是： a jointed or flexible device on which a door, lid, or other swinging part turns (M-W) 或者 a piece of metal fastened to a door, lid etc that allows it to swing open and shut (Longman) 也就是中文的「鉸鏈」或「合葉」長這樣： http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/526335/6243153/1/1219050463.jpg

They are used by stamp collectors to affix postage stamps onto the pages of a stamp album. (From Wikipedia) 簡單的說，A stamp hinge is used to fasten stamps in an album. "fasten"的確是"hinge"的功用那為什麼這個答案不行？如果要解釋的話，我想是「該功用動作的方式」不同，很拗口，不過我也不知道怎麼講比較精確。也就是說grind、stir跟sharpen這三種動作都會持續重複。而fasten應該是一次就完成的動作，比方說我們貼N次貼也是為了要固定，但不會一直做「貼」這個動作，但磨碎、攪拌、磨利都是會持續一段時間的重複動作。這是我的想法啦，參考一下。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 123.193.237.14 ※ 編輯: enia 來自: 123.193.237.14 (01/07 21:47)
