The values of x at : 45th, the 15th, and the kth percentile of the distribution are : 550, 350, and 450, respectively. : Quantiny A Quantiny B : k 30 : Ans : B 大 : 第二題我猜是一個高斯分布圖，不過如何對應上述的量值不太明白， : 因此想詢問如何解題，感謝。首先我們先看這個圖 http://0rz.tw/3ZI9d 這是一個normal distribution的圖形最左邊2.15%的意思是，母體中前2.15%的數值會落在這個黃色區域所以我們可以知道，落在前15.75百分位的數值會在左邊的紅色加黃色的區域內前50%百分位的值會落在圖形左半邊我們可以大概知道，第15百分位的值會在左方紅色和藍色區域交界處的偏左方同樣的，第45百分位的值會在中央直線的偏左方題目要問的是，350是在第30百分位的左或右從圖形大概可以看出在15及45百分位中間的區域，會是一個凸函數(concave function) 我們來看一下這張圖會比較明顯 http://www.magicalmoonshine.org/finger1.jpg

把15和45百分位間的圖放大，形狀約略會像這樣，圖形向上彎曲如果最左邊代表350，最右邊代表550，那麼450就在中間但中間這個位置並不能把這塊區域平均分為兩半，所以第30百分位應該要更右邊才行所以k < 30 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.30.40
