[問題] 求譯敘述圖表的一句話

這是ielts敘述圖表的寫作範例，
想問的點再第二段最後一句：
Interestingly, students in all the featured countries
did least well in the written test,
generally scoring about half a band lower than in the sections.
我自己的試譯是：
有趣的是，所有國家的學生在寫作方面都表現的最差，
分數一般來說大約在總分的一半...然後比什麼還低@@....
後面就不會了...Orz
half a band是總分一半的意思嗎？那不就是4.5,可是看圖表也超過4.5很多阿？
lower than... 又是lower than 甚麼呢？後面有省略單字嗎？
