The Computer Systems Lab at the Iowa State University is looking for two
or three more PhD students to work with us on cyber security research
(area 1: biometrics-based authentication; area 2: malicious code detection).
As a member of the team, you will be involved in cutting edge research
and experimental work as well as close interaction with other PhD students.
Full scholarship to cover your tuition and monthly stipend will be provided
to qualified applicants.
Requirements:
1.Strong background in programming
(for area2: at OS level; for area 1: Android Apps)
2.Past experience in any of following subjects is a plus: for area 1: machine
learning, human computer interaction, or programming in Android platform;
for area 2: systems building, or program analysis.
3.Excellent academic record
4.Very good knowledge of Java and/or C/C++, UNIX, and some scripting
languages
5.Highly motivated self-starter, with a desire to experiment and explore
