[問題] 關於訪問學者費用?
我不是博班生，也不是拿千里馬出國。
是公職人員領教育部的因公派員出國進修
最近也在找美國大學的visiting scholar機會
今天終於收到UPENN的教授願意收我為徒(超開心的!!!)
但是我發現校方要我填的表格裡有費用說明
TERMS FOR INTERNATIONAL VISITING STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS
IMPORTANT: It is customary to charge a fee for international visits.
This is determined in relation to your goals and length of stay.
Visit Fees:
One (1) day to four (4) days $150.00 per day
One (1) week to four (4) weeks $500.00 per week
One (1) month to two (2) months $2000.00 per month
The above costs do not include attending fee-based seminars and courses,
or the cost of a translator. Arrangements can be made for pre-payment
and attendance at these activities, if they are taking place during the
dates of your visit.
我知道訪問學者的會依學校不同有不同的收費標準(Yale據悉就沒收)
但這裡面看似乎要一個月收我2000美金，
這樣一來一年的經費對我來說可真是不小的數目XD
想請問大家，若是回信直接詢問是否能不收費用(不拿學位和學分)
這樣是否會不禮貌?或是該問他們一年會收取我多少費用後再討價還價?
或者千里馬以viviting scholar身分前往的前輩們大都繳多少費用?
我希望免費前往這會不會太異想天開?
