Job title: Research Fellow
Responsibilities
Disease Prediction by Machine Learning Over Big Data From Healthcare
Communities:Work on data mining and machine learning
(including convolutional neural networks (CNN) techniques
for disease risk prediction using gene and image data from
hospitals or healthcare communities.
Requirements
1) PhD in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent
practical experience.
2) Experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Algorithmic
Foundations of Optimization, Data Mining or
Machine Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence)
3) Programming experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python
4) Contributions to research communities and/or efforts,
including publishing papers in machine learning venues
Employment Type:
Contract/ Full Time
Length of the project:
Contract length of 2 years.
Subject to renewal after one year depending on performance.
Salary: S$4,500.00 - S$6,000.00

Job Title: Research Associate
Responsibilities:
1)Apply state-of-the-art computational methods to analyse genome to
support data analysis in genetic studies.
2)Collect and curate publicly available genomic data sets to
support integrative analysis in genetic studies.
3)In addition, the candidate will have opportunities to lead a research
project in either human genetics or bioinformatics method development.
4)Participate in writing of manuscripts.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
1) a Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computational Biology,
Biology, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field;
2) expertise or fluency in large-scale data analysis, statistics,
genomics, machine learning, and/or related field;
3) proficient in programming. Candidates with experience in developing
machine learning algorithms and/or trained in quantitative genetics,
evolutionary biology, or population genetics are especially encouraged
to apply.
The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability for
independent and critical thinking, ability and initiative to
learn new things, excellent communication and teamwork skills
and passion for biological research.
Employment Type:
Contract/ Full Time
Length of the project:
Contract length of 2 years.

Salary: S$ 3,800 - 4,500
