Her lab uses single-molecule imaging, genetic manipulation, whole-cell super-resolution microscopy, and physical modeling to understand how neuron structures and functions emerge from the elementary molecular processes, under both normal development and pathological stresses. Qualifications & requirements for postdoc candidates: ‧ Recent PhD in Biology/ Biophysics or related discipline ‧ Highly motivated, able to work independently, and in a team environment ‧ Training in Drosophila molecular genetics and cell biology ‧ Microscopy experience is required, including confocal imaging ‧ Experience with neuronal cytoskeleton, optogenetics, quantitative imaging analysis, training and supervising undergraduates/graduates in a laboratory setting will all be assets to this position.
