Some people tend to be attracted to dangerous activities, because they love taking advertures and seeking excitement. Things like surfing in the ocean, climbing on the cliffs, and many other extremely dangerous activities draw people's attention, especially young people's. These people think that conquering the impossible satisfies themselves, and this gives them the feeling of achivement. Doing things which others are not able to do or have no courage to do makes excitement-seeking people feel superior to others. Teenagers admire their peers who dare to go bungee jumping; they think people who have the courage to do such dangerous sports are cool. Even to some adults, it is so attractive that performing those ultimate dangerous activities shows they are still capable of extreme activities as youngs. Taking Mr. Irwin, the crocodile hunter for example, the famous host in Animal Channel who was well-known for grabbing and teasing crocodiles barehandedly. He did this life-threatening activity to show his courage and unique style of hosting a TV program. This soon helped him win people's attention and thereafter he became renowned worldwide. There are many reasons for people to be attracted by dangerous sports; fundmentally, they do these to earn excitement, self-confidence, feeling of achievement, and attention from others. It is natural for humans to pursue excitement, especially for males; maybe it is because they want to prove their capabilities to woo females. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 211.74.176.110 ※ 編輯: jennyQ 來自: 211.74.176.110 (05/05 21:56)
