Some people say that computers have made life easier and more convenient.
Other people say that computers have made life more complex and stressful.
What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your
answer.

Computer is one of the most important inventions in the century, absolutely.
Though, some people believe that computer make us life more complicated,
and people spent more and more time on computer, I think that computer's
advantages are more than disadvantages, and computer make our life more
efficient and powerful. The issue of shortening the distance between two
spots in the world and saving our time illustrate why it is.
To begin with, before the invention of computer and internet, it is very
hard for people to know what happened in the other place. In that time, the
only way to share knowledge and experience is by traveling, book, or phone
from one spot to the other spot, but this way is very inefficient and
time-wasting. In contrast, after the invention of computer and internet,
people can know what happened in the world easily by these devices, and
search any knowledge in the world. For example, nowadays many university
in U. S. set many long-distance education for other people, we can attain
the class in MIT or UC-Berkley by just sitting in front of our computer
without showing yourself in the campus; the teacher and the classroom are
in front of you in place of far away with you. Furthermore, we can also have
on-line meeting with other people in the opposite side of the earth and
this way is very popular in today's world. The company president can gather
every manager easily, like Skype and MSN, it is impossible in the 19 century.
I see that the computer really reduce the distance between two places.
Additionally, because the computer is such powerful, we can send e-mail, do
shopping, and search knowledge by computer. Due to we can send e-mail by
computer, we don't need to write a mail and walk to post office; and the
other people can receive our e-mail instantly rather than wait for the
mail-man to deliver the mail. Furthermore, we can compare the price of
product by computer at home rather than go outside and ask the price to
store one by one; we can also figure out what you want to know from the
internet by computer instantly instead of go to library. Because the coming
of computer, engineering can do some simulation by computer; if no computer,
engineering must do many real models and keep trying. It is no doubt that
the computer really save our time, and make our life more efficient.
In conclusion, I think that we should appreciate to the inventor of computer,
thanks to the computer, it make our life better. If no computer, I think
that we will have to spent more time deal with any kind of thing. The
computer make our earth become smaller and smaller and our time more and
more.
