If there is only one place that I can recommend foreigners to visit, I will
definitely commend National Palace Museum. In my view, it is a high spot that
is suitable for various interests.
For people who want to understand Chinese culture, National Palace Museum is
a place can’t be missed since it contains millions of treasurable
excavations. These antiques cover from prehistorical period to contemporary
Taiwan, which are perfect materials for foreigners to have an introductory
lesson of Chinese history. When looking at the printings or daily utensils,
audiences can have an imagination of old-time lives. The designs of the
buildings are also according to those in ancient China. Entering National
Palace Museum is just like entering a time tunnel; it helps the public to
understand Chinese civilization across all the ages.
For people who enjoy the beauties of nature, National Palace Museum is also a
good place to visit, since it has a Chinese-designed backyard. The plants are
carefully pruned and some small animals, such as sparrows, are roosted
inside. People will relax themselves by enjoying the sunshine and listening
to the natural sounds. On weekends, there are always many couples stepping
along the alley, enjoying the sweet times with each other. Moreover, it is
very convenient for travelers transfer to other natural spots. There are some
neighboring scenic resorts such as Yangmingshan National Park or Wai-sh
tourist area.
To sum up, National Palace Museum not only carries educational meaning but
also provide people spiritual relaxing. Therefore, I will surely suggest
every foreigners to look around.
