1. 因為significant這個字本身並沒有numerous的意思, significant在字典裡並沒有
“許多的" 意思, 所以只能選important.
換言之,除非這個字從上下文所判讀出來的意思,字典裡也查得到..這樣才可以選..
2. 此題答案在 第一段 的最後一行, The rapid origin and
diversification of animals is often referred to as the Cambrian explosion.
這裡已明確指出,兩個東西被指為 Cambrian Explosion, 分別是 rapid origin,
以及 diversification of animals
而 Rapid origin 就是指第一行including後面舉例了一堆例子說明生命在多久之前
就形成
(ex: the origin of life about 3.5 billion years ago,
the origin of eukaryotic life-forms, ..and the origin of animals…
其實這些都是指生命的起源.意思就是快速地出現一堆new-life forms)
3. 第二段第二行明確指出The origin of multicellular forms of life seems a
relatively simple step compared to the origin of life itself.
注意這句話是肯定句而非問句.它肯定出The origin of multicellular forms of life
似乎是一個simple step. 而此句並沒有問為什麼.
而選項2之所以對,是因為你從這句話就可以推論出:
既然是一個simple step,那為什麼還需要花那麼久的時間?
