for more than a century. Why did it occur so late in the history of Earth?
The origin of multicellular forms of life seems a relatively simple step
compared to the origin of life itself. Why does the fossil record not
document the series of evolutionary changes during the evolution of animals?
Why did animal life evolve so quickly? Paleontologists continue to search the
fossil record for answers to these questions.

答案是A。但我的問題是，B不也有誤？第三行提到多細胞生物的產生，相較於生命的誕生
花了比較少時間。B是指多細胞生物花了很長的時間才發展出來。
