根據題目所述，我們很快的在閱讀 passage 裡找 "standard practices for remediation of contaminated suils"。我們在 passage 約 2/3 處找到 "after several years of cultivation and harvest, the site would be restored at a cost much lower than the price of excavation and reburial, the standard practice for remediation of contamindated soils"。這一句提到時間 "After several years"，所以我們得知時間是一個關鍵因素，而且需要的不是短時間；我們找答案 "is less suitable for soils that need to be used within a short period of time"不適合短時間內就要用的土壤，是正確答案。很多同學都希望能夠不用翻譯全句而找到答案，這邊所示範的就是根據關鍵字句快速找到答案的方法，但是前提是同學基礎功夫要有，閱讀速度要快才能迅速找到關鍵句，字彙量要夠才能讀得快也讀得懂。基本功夫有底子，我們就可以進階用技巧來找正確答案了。 (以上內容由美加蔡睿老師提供) ※ 引述《tom192180 (tom510558)》之銘言： : Paragraph 6: : Only recently have investigators considered using these plants : to clean up soil and waste sites that have been contaminated by toxic levels : of heavy metals – an environmentally friendly approach known as : phytoremediation.
