你提說: 《double「兩倍、當作兩倍」，有動詞和副詞兩種用法》 Chet is double my weight.「查特的體重是我的兩倍。」 (這裡是修飾is的副詞用法) =Chet is twice as heavy as I. 但根據Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary 這不是副詞用法喔這應該是 determiner [ ] n. 【語】限定詞或可稱 predeterminer [ ] n. 1. 【文】前限定詞,前限定成分(如名詞短語all the time,both our children中的 all和both) 請看Oxford的解釋 double det. TWICE AS MUCH / MANY twice as much or as many as: His income is double hers. He earns double what she does. We need double the amount we already have. 你又問說: Chet is double my weight. (S. + V. + double + 受詞) 怎麼看我覺得也可以將double換成twice呀!! 就像 Nicola got twice the bonus of others. (S. + V. + twice + 受詞) 但 Chet is double my weight. 其中的dounle 應該是如Oxford 所說的是個determiner 限定詞, 但這句不可以用twice代替,因為twice 沒有determiner的用法’ 不可以說Chet is twice my weight. 應該說Chet’s weight is double my weight. = Chet’s weight is twice as much as my weight. ( my weight 最好用 mine代替. 注意不是Chet is 應該是Chet’s weight is 才對喔!!)
