This project is to investigate the transition process of high speed flow through stability analysis on morphing continuum theory. Preference will be given to candidates with a master degree and a strong background in theoretical fluid mechanics, transition and turbulent flows, scientific computing, continuum mechanics, and applied mathematics. Prior knowledge and experience of supersonic/hypersonic flow, python programming and complex analysis will be advantageous for the position. The position can start as early as Summer of 2017. Applications are reviewed in the rolling basis.
