而這個字prompt,促使,驅使之意,
語意有點被動的的意味,所以常用prempted表示,
如:His curiosity prompted him to ask questions.

: him with $20 million in retirement money.

: b.squandering

: 答案是a 可是ab不都是揮霍的意思嘛?

lavish sb with st: ex: He thought he would win her by lavishing her
with expensive gifts.
squander: to carelessly waste money, time, opportunities etc.
ex:They squandered the profits on expensive cars.
從語意來看,這個委員會做了逼個前所未有的決定,給他2千萬的退休金,
應該不是浪費"squander",而應該用"lavish"才是.

--->應該改成"the daily e-mail",因為e-mail為可數名詞,前面要加個冠詞

決心和抱負並沒有其它句子再對它進行說明,
所以並沒有指明那一個,不可用定冠詞"the"
