Hello! My name is Pei Wen Chou and I grew up in Toronto, Canada.
I am in Taipei for the next few months and would like to offer English
assistance to anyone who might need it. I graduated from McMaster University
with a Biology and Pharmacology Degree and I am familiar with scientific
writing. However, I also have experience in writing formal English essays,
business-related proposals and proof-reading any type of English writing
(presentations, e-mails, letters, contracts).
As a native English speaker, I can help you improve your pronunciation and
enunciation to achieve polished, clear and understandable spoken English.
I have experience as a private tutor for adults learning English as a
Second Language here in Taipei, and I have been employed as a Teaching
Assistant at my university for 3 semesters. In addition, I am able to speak
and understand intermediate Mandarin – and will use it sparingly to put
students at ease and facilitate understanding.
I have a friendly personality and an inventive method of teaching – I work
with you to create a plan that is suited to your learning needs and try to
make the learning process fun!
