Regardless the destination, the journey we take is the reward. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxTaipei Salon presents you six amazing speakers who have re-defined their life path by taking The Road Less Traveled. They hail from different expertise and yet one thing they all share in common is the courage and confidence exhibited throughout their career and life. 時間:9/10(六) 14:00 – 18:00。13:00進場 地點:中山堂光復廳 講者名單:Eames Demetrios│江振誠│鄒駿昇│謝英俊│賴青松│Todd Mack 講者介紹 Eames Demetrios │ 空間魔法師( Geographer at-large, Eames Foundation) 是20 世紀最有影響力的設計師Charles及Ray Eames夫婦之孫子。 不同於祖父母的是,Eames創造了一個跟我們平行的世界:Kcymaerxthaere。 各大陸位置跟我們的世界大致相同, 然而裡頭的故事、文化、法律、科學定律等卻非常特別, 他正創造著新的歷史,把希望和文化傳承下去。 Eames Demetrios is the creator of Kymaerica and the Kcymaerxthaere, a global work of three-dimensional fiction that overlays alternative stories onto the physical world.He is the grandson of the legendary husband-and-wife design team Charles and Ray Eames.Eames Demetrios, the project’s Geographer-at-Large, travels the world exploring stories of imaginary peoples, movements, even physical laws — and then memorializing these stories on bronze plaques. ymaerica, which Demetrios references in the talk, is one area within Kcymaerxthaere. 江振誠 │ 料理藝術師 16歲遠赴法國學習料理,25歲當上法國米其林三星主廚, 30歲時,江振誠離開法國到新加坡實現開店的夢想,堅持每天每位客人都能看到他, 每道菜都由他親自做最後的組合。他每天待在廚房18小時以上, 持續4、5年專研法式料理,堅持只用最新鮮的時令食材是江振誠的料理哲學。 Andre Chiang │ Chef, Andre Restaurant Chef Andre Chiang has a philosophy of using only the freshest of seasonal produce. Having made an indelible impression on the Singapore culinary scene since opening in late 2010, Restaurant Andre was recently listed in the coveted San Pellegrino World’s 100 Best Restaurants. New York Times mentions the restaurant as the top 10 restaurants in the world worth a plane ride while Wallpaper magazine places Andre as one of the world’s best young chefs. 鄒駿昇 │ 另類插畫家 創作風格獨具,畫風多變且充滿思考性,他認為世上很多真實面都在背面, 鼓勵大家從另一個角度看事情。 儘管獲得「義大利波隆那國際插畫獎」以及「美國3×3當代插畫比賽」殊榮, 他仍然秉持謙虛的態度持續創作,期許為這世界注入不一樣的色彩。 Page Tsou │ Illustrator An visual artist based in London, originally from Taiwan, Page takes a different approach in interpreting art and finding his own sense of place in a foreign culture. He draws upon inspirations from every day people. His recent work features 『back of the heads: a different outlook of Londoners.』 Page has won numerous awards including 3×3, Bologna Children’s book fair. 謝英俊 │ 永續設計建築師 畢業自臺北淡江大學建築系,從事營造工作多年之後,重回建築設計工作; 1999年投入臺灣地震災區,與居民共同完成「921邵族家屋重建案」始受國內外矚目, 對弱勢者協力造屋、生態建築等議題有深入落實的努力。 Hsieh Ying-chun │ Disaster relief architect, system thinker H sieh Ying-Chun is an architect, devoting himself to post-disaster reconstruction for more than 10 years. After September 21 earthquake, he achieved the proposal “Thao families reconstruction” with disaster victims. He has great efforts on eco-building and helping minorities rebuilding families. He designed lots of environment-fitted houses in Indonesia after Indonesian tsunami. 賴青松 │ 有機農夫 曾經赴日修習環境法碩士學位,回台選擇一條人煙稀少的路–跑到宜蘭開始種稻, 體會到生活的各種可能性,憑著「回歸自然生活」的信念,創立了穀東俱樂部, 提倡「自己種稻自己吃」,「與天合諧共存,才是人類真正的生存之道」。 Lai Ching-soong │ Organic farmer Originally trained as an attorney practicing environmental law, Lai found his true passion in farming. In his own words, he got rid of his “life road map” and let his inner compass take the guide. He experimented various kinds of organic farming and founded the first Rice Common Club. Todd Mack │ 和平使者.音樂家 熱愛音樂,在作曲、製作領域已超過25年。 當他的記者朋友同時也是樂團夥伴Daniel Pearl於因911事件在巴基斯坦遭受恐怖攻擊身亡 後,Todd便成立音樂網路–Daniel Pearl World Music Days, 堅信音樂的力量可以改變世界,至今已舉辦6,700場音樂會,遍及111個國家。 Todd Mack │ World Peace Messenger, FODfest Founder When his friend Daniel Pearl was abducted and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002, Todd decided to use music as a way to heal. In 2005, Todd organized an informal jam session in honor of his friend as part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days. This modest gathering unpredictably sprouted into an internationally touring non-profit organization.
