[請益] be的用法？
1.In all his encounters with his neighbors--whether they be Kings or drunken

clowns--Caliban is never accorded the power to see.
請問句中為什麼用be而非are呢？
自己有查了一下subjnuctive mood的用法(其實這種用法也不大懂)，書中寫這是『倒裝
的假設句』，但是上面這句並沒有倒裝。
例句：
1.Be the problem easy or difficult, this method applies.
請問該怎麼從原句改成上面這句。
而且，be the problem easy or difficult 和whether the problem is easy or
difficult意思又不同在哪裡呢？
