(graduating ) from college. 為什麼答案是graduation不是graduating

括起來的地方為什麼是這樣,這樣不是就不對等了嗎?

at the airport. (A) piles (B)crowds
為什麼是crowds不是piles
4. fail the exam
fail on the exam有什麼不同，還是都可以。
