[文法] 辭典中的do whatever you think fit
各位好，請教一下
在劍橋辭典中看到這樣的解釋：
see/think fit
to consider an action or decision to be correct for the situation
例句
Just do whatever you think fit - I'm sure you'll make the right decision.
Spend the money as you see fit.

請問第一句的think fit是不是及物的用法，think的受詞是前面的whatever，
而第二句的see fit卻是不及物的用法？
換句話說，我的理解是，第一句的架構：
... whatever you think fit.
→ ... anything that you think fit.
而that是關係代名詞，引領形容詞子句，是think的受詞。
所以第一句的結構可以說是 think something fit
但底下這句則不同
She let him do his job as he thought fit.
這句的think fit就是不及物的用法。
結論是，關鍵在於前面有whatever時，think fit就變成及物了。
（不然whatever根本沒位置擺）
請問我的理解是否正確呢？
