各位好，請教一下在辭典看到以下例句： I caught on to what it was the guy was saying. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/catch_on 我的想法： a. I caught on to (something). b. it was what the guy was saying. -->c. I caught on to what it was the guy was saying. a句的something和b句的what有交集，所以兩句合併時，把what移到前面當連接詞，就成為c. 網友Raymott說 Yes, you can. Also: "I caught on to what it was that the guy was saying". 但我認為照他的說法，就會變成： d. I caught on to what it was that the guy was saying. 推回我的b，就會成為 -->b'. it was what (= thing(s) that) that the guy was saying. What (= XXX) was it (that) the guy was saying? h. I caught on to the question (= What was it (that) the guy was saying?). g.+h. →i.
