[文法] 冠詞+形容詞 複數型態
各位版大早上好。
很多文法書上寫The + 形容詞 後面動詞要用複數
這個文法其實不盡然全對，我想這是老梗了，所以我就不多提了。
我在某文法書上看到。
The new is not always better than the old.
The rich are not always happier than the poor.
他的解釋是將省略的字還原就知道應該用什麼型態的動詞
像是The new 變成 The new thing.
The rich 變成 The rich people.
那麼請教先進，怎麼The new就不能是The new things?
The rich 就不能是The rich person呢？
懇請先進解惑，感恩。
