[字辨] He is not/no taller than me.
這兩句話看起來相近，但語氣與暗示有些差別：
1. He is not taller than me.
「他並不比我高。」
這是最直接的否定句，表示 他沒有比我高，可能一樣高，或比我矮。語氣較中性，重點
在於「沒有超過我」。
2. He is no taller than me.
「他一點也不比我高。」
這裡的 no 帶有更強烈的語氣，常帶有比較、甚至輕微的否定或貶低意味。暗示「他和我
一樣不高」或者「如果我不高，他也不高」。
總結：
not taller = 中性比較，單純否定「沒有比較高」。
no taller = 加強語氣，常帶「一樣不高」或「根本沒比較高」的意味。
He is not taller than me.（中性，單純否定比較）
A: "Wow, he looks tall!"
B: "He is not taller than me. We’re about the same height."
（他沒有比我高。我們差不多一樣高。）
"My brother is not taller than me, but he’s stronger."
（我弟弟沒有比我高，但他比較壯。）
重點是「沒有比較高」，語氣平實，不帶情緒。
He is no taller than me.（語氣強烈，帶有貶低或強調）
"They say he’s a basketball star, but he is no taller than me!"
（人家說他是籃球明星，但他一點也不比我高！）
暗示：如果連我這種身高都不高，他也一樣。
"Don’t be afraid of him—he is no taller than me."
（不用怕他，他根本沒比我高。）
暗示：對方沒有優勢，甚至帶點輕視。
可以這樣記：
not taller = 客觀事實比較。
no taller = 強調「完全沒有比較高」，常帶情緒色彩（驚訝、不屑、強調公平）。
